ABOUT ME
I currently serve as a Postdoctoral researcher with the University of Central Florida and the Chr. Michelsen Institute. I received my Ph.D. from the University of Central Florida in December 2018. My dissertation, entitled, "The Conditionality of Vulnerability: Three Analyses of Risk and Opportunity in Civil-Military Relations," is comprised of three essays exploring democratic vulnerability to coups and the propensity for democratization in the aftermath of irregular removals.
My research has been published in outlets including Journal of Global Security Studies, Conflict Management & Peace Science, Foreign Policy Analysis, Democratization, and Studies in Comparative International Development and I have been invited to revise and resubmit work at Development & Change. My research interests include comparative politics, coups d'état, mutinies, democratization, political development, and human rights.
